My vision for the future:
Justice, education, access, civic participation and opportunities for economic advancement for all New Yorkers.

For me, it's always amazing how this bullhorn ordinarily just sits in a corner in my office. Then the next day it's in a crowd of a thousand people, delivering a message that not only energizes but conveys hope, strength, and celebration of being together.

I've been a grantee leader supported by North Star for years. Now I'm on the board, and I'm very happy to serve an organization that has such clear goals and such a clear commitment to grassroots organizing. So many movements come out of New York City. Change here can have worldwide impact.

There will always be immigrants coming to New York. I see people being able to live here and participate economically, but still able to maintain and share their culture--their language, their arts, their values.
