Congratulations to Movimiento por Justicia del Barrio for their victory against Dawney Day Corporation. You can read the full account here in a posting to RaceWire by Letitia Miranda. Movimiento has been a grantee of North Star Fund since 2005. Their campaign against Dawney Day began significantly before that.Throughout that long haul, Movimiento has remained committed to its principles of maintaining a democratic, member-led organization that links tenant organizing to larger issues of social justice. This victory shows the value of integrity combined with persistence.
